2008 Porsche Parade

For fans of Stuttgart’s finest, there is no bigger event in North America than Porsche Club of America’s annual Porsche Parade.

The 2008 Porsche Parade will take place tomorrow, Saturday, June 28th until Wednesday, July 3rd in Charlotte, NC, and Sports Car Digest will cover this multi-faceted event in full detail.

Porsche Parade Highlights:

Saturday, June 28 – Restoration Drive, a 10 mile tour of Charlotte by Concours participants. Completion of the tour is worth three bonus points to Restoration Group entrants.

Sunday, June 29 – Concours d’Elegance and Parade Paddock held on the streets on downtown Charlotte from 9am – 3pm. Organizers expect 150 concour and 500 paddock cars.

Monday, June 30 – Gimmick Rally, and Technical/Historical Quiz Contest.

Tuesday, July 1 – TSD Rally, and Heritage and Historic Display, held inside the Charlotte Convention Center from 10am – 5pm.

Wednesday, July 2 – Autocross held in the infield of Lowe’s Motor Speedway.

Thursday, July 3 – Tour to Biltmore House in Asheville, NC, and Victory Banquet.

In addition, there will be seminars, art shows, Remote Control and Slot Car racing, NASCAR shop tours, plus numerous parties, banquets and other fun happenings, all in the name of Porsche.
