Limited to 3,000 guests, the seventh annual Quail will celebrate 50 years of racing at the Daytona International Speedway, home to the Daytona 500; honor the 30th anniversary of the BMW M1, the first modified production auto and pay tribute to racing icon Hans Stuck.

Key automobiles on display include, amongst many others, the 1959 Watson Indy Roadster, one of only two built for the racing season; 1972 Ford Bud Moore/Bobby Isaac Torino, the only remaining Bud Moore Engineering Ford Torino in the world; 1973 BMW 3.0 Alpina CSL, one of the finest examples of the model of the few remaining and the 1986 Porsche 962, raced by Hans Stuck to his third win at Sebring and the last Porsche to win Sebring for the next 20 years. The event will also display a selection of 30 of the most historic Porsches in the company’s history.

Other highlights included the first North American public unveiling of the Porsche Panamera Gran Turismo and Aston Martin’s newest DBS Volante convertible. Test-drives will also be available and the Land Rover Experience Driving School will be offering off-road driving instruction on its trails through the grounds of Quail Lodge.

Since inception, The Quail Motorsports Gathering has also featured exceptional prewar and postwar era sports and racing bikes. This year, Confederate Motors, Inc., the premier American luxury manufacturing company, will unveil its latest design, P120 Fighter Combat.

Held in conjunction with the Quail, Bonhams & Butterfields will present cars in its yearly Quail Lodge auction. The collection will include 1939 Auto Union D-Type GP raced by Hans Stuck, the only known surviving Grand Prix car of its type. It is expected to sell for an incredible $8 million.

In addition to an array of cars, The Quail also boasts the best of the best in food and wines, jewelry and the other accoutrement of fine living. Every whim is catered for in this daylong extravaganza celebrating the sports car lifestyle and all that it stands for.
