As the title suggests, Sports Car Digest (SCD) is an online journal for car enthusiasts. If you enjoy sports cars, vintage cars, modern and vintage racing, then Sports Car Digest should be a site you will enjoy. It is a car guy site written by car guys. We sincerely hope that you will enjoy SCD and come back often.
What you can expect from SCD:
News – SCD will provide timely news relevant to our little slice of the world. You will find upcoming events, auctions, vintage, modern and rally racing results and stories, plus nearly anything and everything related to sports, racing and vintage cars.
Profiles – SCD will profile cars, both vintage and modern, of all shapes, sizes and price ranges. The typical car profile will be atypical to most, but not to car folks. We will also profile automotive personalities, epic races and unbelievable garages.
Auctions – SCD will offer very timely results for the significant auctions that take place throughout the year. We will bring to light notable offerings and sales, records that were broken, Plus trends and values in the market. To put it another way, with SCD you will not need to wait 6-8 weeks to get a fresh and opinionated look at the auction world.
Car Events – SCD will attend as many car shows, concours and other car events as possible. It’s a tough task, but we are up to the job. We will highlight interesting cars and events that you may not see from other sources.
Vintage Racing – SCD will attend races, profile cars, drivers and teams, and generally report on the races in a timely and interesting fashion. We will also discuss our own vintage racing experiences, which will include all of the little details and episodes that go into vintage racing.
Modern Racing – SCD will also report on modern sports car racing. While not our bread and butter, we enjoy seeing the latest and greatest tearing up the track and feel that it will be worthwhile to discuss.
Etceterini – SCD’s take on small displacement Italian cars is where you will find special interest news and stories and other random items that are hard to categorize. This is also where you will find our Classified Ads from the Past series where we take a fun and sometimes painful look at the classified advertisements from our collection of old car magazines. We call it therapy.
Bottom Line – The SCD team is composed of hard-core car enthusiasts. We live and breathe it. Hopefully our writing will convey that passion, resulting in the reader coming back day after day.
