Alpine GT Rally 2012 Information

Alpine GT Rally 2012The organisers behind the London to Monte Carlo Grand Tour (now in its 27th year) have joined forces with boutique tent operators Camp Kerala to create the first ever luxury-tented AlpineGT.

With ‘base camp’ in a beautiful meadow just above Val d’Isere in France, the AlpineGT offers two separate tour packages on July 12-15 and July 19-22, 2012. Limited to just forty guests per event, both driving tours will comprise three days and three routes around the surrounding peaks and dramatic landscape of the Alps with roads especially chosen to entertain car and driver.

En route, there will be lunch stops in an historic chateau or a lakeside gastronomic restaurant and on the final day, guests will enjoy a sumptuous picnic high in the Alps. At night, an army of staff and a gourmet chef will be on hand to take care of every whim, with an open bar, cocktails and canapes, a four-course dinner with fine wines, late night snacks and a special chill-out area.

This mountain experience will end each night with guests retiring in luxury tented accommodation in twenty Indian Shikar tents made by the Maharaja of Jodhpur. The tents are fitted with properly made-up beds, Egyptian cotton sheets, goose down pillows and 5-star service.

Evenings will start with canapes and cocktails (mixed by Val d’Isere’s legendary barman David Rivet), followed by a gastronomic dinner and entertainment every night, from mind-bending magicians to live music and fireworks.

Both tours are “fly in, fly out” with owner’s cars collected from their home and transported to Geneva Airport where they will be waiting for collection on arrival day. Luggage is collected at Geneva Airport and transported to Base Camp, and then back again at the end of the event.

The price for the tour is £10,250 per couple and includes vehicle transportation, all meals and beverages, canapes, cocktails, accommodation, entertainment, driver?s handbook. The only additional costs are passenger’s flights and petrol.
