About Pete Lyons

Motorsports journalist and photographer Pete Lyons covered the Can-Am in the day, and his third book on the series, “Can-Am Cars in Detail,” was just published by David Bull and is available at www.petelyons.com — along with many historic racing photos.

In his long career Lyons has also reported on Formula 1, Indycar, Endurance, F5000, Trans-Am and many other kinds of racing around the world. As well as serving as editor of RACECAR magazine, sadly now defunct, he has contributed to Autosport, AutoWeek, Car and Driver, Racer, Road & Track and Vintage Motorsport among many others. His monthly column, "Fast Lines," now appears in Vintage Racecar magazine.
