Bloomington Gold Tours announced three all Corvette tours planned for 2009, all of which include deluxe lodging, great cuisine, unforgettable group activities, merchandise, trip mementos and the ultimate in Corvette entertainment.
Grand Canyon/Sedona Tour: June 4th – 7th with Wil Cooksey (tour departs from Flagstaff, Arizona)
Join National Corvette Museum Chairman and former Corvette plant manager, Wil Cooksey for three days touring through the beautiful country of Northern Arizona. On Friday, June 5th, the tour will cruise down the switchbacks of Oak Creek Canyon to the towering red rocks of Sedona, AZ. On Saturday, June 6th, the tour heads to the majestic grandeur of Grand Canyon National Park.
This tour is limited to 25 Corvettes. Package prices start at $1,395 ($1,345 for returning VIPs).
Great Lakes Tour: June 27th – July 3rd (tour departs from Geneva, Illinois)
The Great Lakes Tour begins at America’s original Corvette show, Bloomington Gold in beautiful St. Charles, IL. This all new tour will travel north from Illinois through Wisconsin and Michigan, cruising the sparkling shores of Lake Michigan and Lake Huron. Along the way the tour will visit Elkhart Lake, WI, the home of Road America Racetrack. Participants will rumble around the famous Road America racecourse in their own Corvettes, enjoying a personal tour of this historic track. It’s then onto Door County, Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, where the tour will cross the longest expansion bridge in North America, the Mighty Mackinac Bridge. The final destination is the jewel of the Midwest, Mackinac Island.

Grand Canyon/Rocky Mountain Tour: August 2nd – 8th (tour departs from Flagstaff, Arizona)
Saddle up your Vette for the best of the west as the tour explores Grand Canyon National Park and the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Along the way the tour cruises through Monument Valley country and visits Mesa Verde National Park to view the best ancient cliff dwellings in the world. The tour ends high in the alpine town of Telluride, CO while enjoying an out-of-this-world finale banquet.
