Celebrate the Austin-Healey Sprite at Road America, as the Mark I model Austin-Healey Sprite, a.k.a. the Bugeye celebrates 50 years of existence in 2008
This small British sports car will be the featured marque when Road America hosts the Vintage Sports Car Drivers Association (VSCDA) Elkhart Lake Vintage Festival September 19-21 in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.
This fun little car with its distinctive headlights was commonly known as the Frogeye in United Kingdom or as the Bugeye in the United States. Designed by Donald Healey for the British Motor Company, this low-cost sportscar made its public debut in 1958. Over 129,000 models were built between the years of 1958 to 1971.
VSCDA expects over 300 cars to compete in the autumn Elkhart Lake Vintage Festival, which is a fantastic event featuring dazzling cars restored to era specifications. To learn more about the Elkhart Lake Vintage Festival, visit the VSCDA site at www.vscda.org.
Tickets to the 3-day event are available either in advance or at Road America Main Gate. Order your tickets in advance by calling (800) 365-7223 or online at www.roadamerica.com.

By chance do you know what the featured marque is going to be at Road America in 2010 for the September event?
If it is too early for that info, when/where will that info be out?
Thanks, Tim Moore
