Jamie Doyle, Co-Founder – A veteran of the banking industry, Jamie Doyle knows a few things about identifying important trends and fulfilling the needs of clients. In 2008, seeing the need for an online sports car journal, Jamie left finance and combined his business savvy with a lifelong love of automobiles by creating Sports Car Digest. In the years since its launch, Sports Car Digest has become one of the internet’s most trusted source of accurate and up to date information and enjoys a large online community whose members represent some of the most knowledgeable and accomplished people in the industry.
A resident of Charlotte, North Carolina, Jamie resides with his wife and two young sons, and is a member of the International Motor Press Association, Jaguar Club of America, Lotus Limited, Alfa Romeo Owner’s Club, Porsche Club of America, BMW Car Club of America and Iso and Bizzarrini Owner’s Club. Over the years, several European and American classics have called Jamie’s garage their home. He divides driving time between a Jaguar E-Type Series 1 4.2 Roadster, a Lotus Elan S3 Coupe, a Mini Cooper S, and a “practical” 414 hp, 8400 rpm BMW E90 M3 Sedan—complete with baby seats strapped in the rear. When not driving, writing about, buying, or selling cars, Jamie enjoys fishing, golfing and spending time with family.
In addition to his duties at SCD Motors, Jamie also serves as Publisher and Editor-in-Chief at Sports Car Digest.
Edward Lenahan, Co-Founder - Edward Lenahan has a thing for cars. A voracious reader of all things automotive as a child, Lenahan spent his teenage years attending countless vintage auto races, helping construct several BMW and Lotus racecars, and working for Paul Newman and Carl Haas’ IndyCar team.
The years his following his 18th birthday saw him incorporate his one-man race team, become a nationally-ranked 125cc shifterkart driver, attend Bridgestone Racing School’s Racer Mechanic program, earn his professional racing license, and conclude over eight years at Newman Haas Racing with a championship ring.
A native of Northbrook, Illinois, Lenahan earned Bachelor’s degrees in Creative Writing and English Literature from Lake Forest College in 2000. In 2003, he relocated to Charleston, South Carolina where he earned his Master’s degree in English Literature from the College of Charleston. Edward Lenahan lives with his wife in a 1921 Arts and Crafts home whose historically accurate restoration he both designed and managed, and for which his attention to detail earned approval from the South Carolina State Historic Preservation Office and a Carolopolis Award from the Preservation Society of Charleston.
In addition to his duties at SCD Motors, Edward also serves as Associate Editor at Sports Car Digest.
