As track day toys go, V8 powered American sports cars like this 1994 Ford Mustang Cobra easily offer the most fun per dollar. For starters there’s this car’s mechanical attributes that include a 331 stroker engine providing nearly 350 RWHP, Brembo front brakes and a heavily modified suspension front and rear. All of which should add up to an easily adjustable and powerful race car. Better still, as the Mustang is a late model American car, many of the parts are available at local auto parts stores or the local Ford dealer. Photos show the Cobra to be clean and well sorted and the seller indicates the only issue is a slightly leaky rear seal. There’s nothing like the feeling of a big V8 on track and we wouldn’t hesitate to use the Cobra for open track days or NASA’s fun and competitive American Iron racing series.
