This 1973 BMW 2002 is a no rust daily driver with a host of tasteful upgrades including Recaro sport seats and a sport steering wheel from an E21 320is. We love 2002s for their well-balanced chassis, fine style and incredibly fun driving dynamics. Trouble is, everyone else does as well and many of the small coupes now display worn chassis and engines, rust, and poorly planned and executed modifications. Thankfully, this 2002 appears to have received great care—including new paint, a new exhaust, and a wide array of new mechanical and electrical components—and the owner indicates the car sees use as a solid daily driver. If it were ours we’d recoup some of the purchase price by selling the 15″ wheels and then find something in the 13-14″ range for more period appropriate looks.
