For those who believe road trips are about the journey, there are cars like this 1963 Maserati Sebring 3500 GTiS. What, after all, could be more enjoyable than listening to the sound of six cylinder Maserati engine breathing through side-draft Weber carburetors or stepping from yet another rest stop bathroom to find the beautiful coupe before you and its keys in your hand. In the early 60s these Sebrings were among the world’s best grand tourers and combined fine styling, performance and comfort. Visually this car retains many of these charms with a largely original interior in clean condition save the rear parcel shelf which sports unfortunate late model speakers and shrinking leather. Both, of course, are easy fixes. Outside the Maserati wears dark grey metallic paint that shows signs of aging and perhaps a tiny bit of corrosion. The original color for the car was silver and we think a repaint offers the perfect opportunity to correct the few small problems and return the car to its striking original color combination of silver over red.
