With all the looks of an early seventies Italian supercar, the power of a musclecar and most parts available at the local auto parts store, DeTomaso Panteras like this 1973 model are the everyman’s supercar. What other car, after all, looks this good, and goes this fast with such relatively low purchase and maintenance costs? By the looks of things, this particular Pantera will require little in the way of maintenance and, better yet, won’t require the undoing of tasteless modifications that befell many a Pantera. The seller indicates that the car was purchased during the Monterey, California auction week of 2009 and had spent its entire life on the west coast. The mileage is claimed to be just over 62,000 and photos show the car to be in excellent condition. The red paint is shiny and clean, interior surfaces are finely patinated and well kept, and the engine compartment seems orderly and clean. We love these cars for the staggering amount of performance they provide at a fraction of the cost of other Italian supercars. Find the Pantera for sale here on eBay in Medford, New Jersey with the reserve not met at $29,800 and an owner looking to free up space for another trip to Monterey.
