Though the seller of this 1972 Alfa Romeo GTAm uses few words, the photos say the twin-plug engined, fender flared coupe stands ready for action. Alfa Romeo GTAs are rightfully loved for their beautiful looks, high performance, race history and, perhaps most importantly, the wide array of intricate and lightweight components that made these aforementioned qualities possible. From all angles this car displays many of the same components of the factory made cars. Boxed fender flares grace each wheel and are cleanly pop-riveted in place. Wide Minilite-style wheels fill out the modified bodywork well. Vintage racing touches include the deleted bumpers, yellow tow-hooks front and rear and the aluminum retaining tabs near the corners of the windshield. The exterior is completed with beautiful red paint, Autodelta logos on the front fenders and a central racing strip. Under the hood lies the twin plug four cylinder engine and a pair of side-draft Weber carburetors. In a small description the seller indicates the engine produces 198hp and that transmission and suspension are essentially new. We’d want to know much more about this car’s history and build before buying but can’t help but imagine using the Alfa as the ultimate street legal track car. Find it for sale here on eBay in Miami, Florida.
