The seller doesn’t give the date of restoration for this particular Shelby, but photos appear to be older and our best guess is that this car was reassembled with care and then seriously pampered. The black paint and gold stripes appear shiny and clean. The black interior appears nearly-new and shows no wear. The underside and engine compartment are fastidiously neat with the only evidence of use being the dusty inner tire sidewalls and the slightly chipped rear trailing links. The seller indicates that the Shelby is numbers matching and retains most of it original components save the automatic transmission, which was swapped for a four speed during the restoration. Provided the restoration is as fine as it appears in photos, this could be the perfect Shelby to buy and enjoy. We particularly like older restorations like this as they allow the owner to use the car without drastically affecting its value.
