Flxible Motor Coach 295x221 Classic Car Auction of Michigan Results   RM AuctionsRM Auctions held its 2009 Classic Car Auction of Michigan at the Rock Financial Showplace in Novi, Michigan on April 25-26th.

Top sale went to the nine-ton 1950 Flxible Private Motor Coach that sold to a private collector for $92,400. This rare luxury coach is one of only five examples built by the Flxible Company in Loudonville, Ohio and attracted considerable interest from out-of-state phone bidders and enthusiastic attendees alike.

Other top sellers included a Concours-quality 1964 Chevrolet Corvette presented in as-new condition that brought $71,500 and a fully restored, Detroit-built, 1969 Hurst/Olds 442 Coupe that sold for $52,000.

“We were very pleased with the attendance this past weekend and many visitors commented on the variety and quality of this year’s offerings,” remarked RM’s car specialist Ken Wallace.

RM Auctions offered 252 automobiles for sale, with 121 finding a new owner, reflecting a 48% sales rate. Total sales volume was $2,102,530, down 65% from last year’s $6,023,300 total. The average price per car sold was $17,376 versus $26,534 last year.
