La Dolce Vita Automobili at Black Horse announced the establishment of the La Dolce Vita Automobili Scholarship in an effort to support young adults who have chosen a career path in automotive design.
The La Dolce Vita Automobili Scholarship will be managed by the Collectors Foundation who will oversee the disbursement of funds and advise on individuals and programs in need of funding. Founded by Hagerty Insurance Agency, Collectors Foundation is a 501(c) 3 cooperative philanthropic enterprise that supports youth development and the long-term interests of collector vehicle and classic boat enthusiasts.
Event Co-Founder Kerry McMullen shares, “Nothing is more important to our team than furthering the artistry and creativity that makes the car realm so vibrant.”
Collectors Foundation Executive Director Bob Knechel explains, “We have an amazing support network of national and international businesses and private collectors supporting the foundation and we’re thrilled La Dolce Vita Automobili at Black Horse has joined our long-term efforts and chosen Collectors Foundation to manage the scholarship.”
To date, Collectors Foundation has awarded scholarships and grants to educational programs in 18 different states, 1 Canadian Province and 4 National Clubs.
In 2009 funds will be generated for the scholarship through a silent auction in place during the La Dolce Vita Automobili at Black Horse event. Facilitated by Grandstand Sports and Memorabilia, Inc., the auction will offer car owners and the general public the opportunity to bid on music, movie and sports memorabilia as well as automotive art.
