The 2013 running of the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion will be staged August 16-18 at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Salinas, California. Organizers expect up to 1,000 requests for entry into America’s premier historic car race, one of the anchor events of Monterey Classic Car Week.
The Governing Committee established sixteen race groups for next year’s historic races, ranging from early pre-war cars up to more modern-day early ‘90s GTO cars. Each car accepted will be based on its authenticity, race provenance and the historical accuracy of its mechanical preparation and livery. Notable racing classes include Formula 1 machines from 1966 to 1984 and Porsche 911 race cars from 1964 to 1973.
