Traversee de Paris 2012 Information

Traversee de Paris 2011The 5th annual Traversee de Paris will be held July 29th, 2012 in Paris. Organized by the Vincennes en Anciennes association along with the Fédération Française des véhicules d’époque (French fédération of classic car), the Traversée de Paris is a meeting of classic cars, which takes place twice a year, once during the summer and once during the winter.

Traversee de Paris 2012 will see 500 vehicles (automobiles, motorcycles, commercial vehicles, tractors, buses) from various time and makers ride through the streets of the French capital city. Whether they are popular or luxurious, from France or from abroad, all these vehicles have their own stories and there is no better place than Paris in the summer to enjoy these beauties upon the amused look of enthusiast and curious people.

The vehicles will leave the esplanade of the Château de Vincennes at 8:00am, and cruise through the most symbolic and particularly touristic places: Place Daumesnil, Place de la Bastille, rue de Rivoli, Montmartre, and the Champs-Elysées, to arrive around 12:00pm at the Observatory’s Terraces of the city of Meudon. Along the way, drivers will stop at place de l’Etoile, place de la Concorde, the Grand Palais and place des Invalides to allow people to look at the vehicles.

All the crews are invited to dress in white, in a fashion that matches the age of their vehicles. A number of gifts will award the most elegant crews. People travelling on the free buses are also invited to follow the dress code.
