Living up to its title as the ‘the world’s biggest classic racing festival’, the annual Silverstone Classic (23-25 July) is firmly established as one of the summer’s must-attend events. And we have five pairs of tickets for Saturday to give away in this special competition. Each prize – worth nearly £100 – includes two of ‘access all areas’ adult tickets, giving admittance to the non-stop action and entertainment. Saturday’s entertainment includes a host of great track races plus live music from X Factor finalists.
On-track the three-day festival features a stellar line-up of races as 1000 hard-charging racers do battle in 800 cars spanning seven decades of motor racing heritage. In total over the weekend, 23 races will cover Grand Prix cars, sports, GT, saloon and single-seater racing cars from 1930 to the 1990s. Among this year’s highlights are six classic F1 races to mark the 60th anniversary of the first World Championship Grand Prix held at Silverstone in 1950 plus a very special charity race featuring celebrities from the worlds of radio, TV, music and entertainment all raising money for the Bobby Moore Fund.
The Silverstone Classic, though, is much more than a glorious celebration of motor racing heritage. It is a complete event dedicated to providing a fabulous day – or better still weekend – out for everyone.
Major attractions include air displays, hot-rod burn-outs, 6000+ classic road cars, retail park, period fun fair, bike displays and, of course, live music. On Friday night, Silverstone will rock to the sounds of two classic British bands from the 1960s and 1970s, when The Yardbirds and Dr Feelgood take to the stage. Then, on Saturday evening, the story comes bang up to date for our lucky winners with a show including Stars from the X Factor, with Jedward, Danyl Johnson and Ruth Lorenzo. Entry to both concerts is included within the circuit admission charge.

Advanced Adult entrance: £30 Friday; £40 Saturday; £35 Sunday or three-day ticket £80. Children aged between 6 and 16: £5 per day. Those aged five and under: free. Ticket price includes car parking, grandstand seating, paddock access and live music.
