Fairfield County Concours d’Elegance 2011 Information

Cunningham C3 The Fairfield County Concours d’Elegance 2011 returns to Westport, Connecticut for its eighth annual event on Sunday, September 18th. This year’s event will highlight vehicles powered by Chrysler Hemi engines and the 50th anniversary of the Jaguar E-Type.
Chrysler FirePower will star in a special exhibit of American and European vehicles equipped with Chrysler Hemi engines. Chrysler debuted the Hemi FirePower V8 in 1951, capturing the attention of street drivers and track and drag racing professionals and enthusiasts alike. Two of the only 25 Cunningham C-3 Coupes, built by Westport, Connecticut’s Briggs Cunningham, will also be on view, as well as a 1952 Kurtis Kraft 500A racecar.
Another featured class will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Jaguar E-Type. Organizers are searching from within the contiguous United States for two privately owned E-Types: the car with the lowest chassis serial number and the car that is the longest privately held single-owner E-Type. Owners are asked to submit information, stories and photographs (exterior ¾ front and side views, one each) of their E-Types: www.fairfieldcountyconcours.com/enter.html.
