Legends of Motorsports powered by HMSA kicked off its 3rd season on July 27-29, 2012 at historic Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant in Quebec. Under sunny and warm conditions, the high quality field of historic race cars battled on the 2.65-mile, 15-turn track in Canada.

Set amidst the scenic Laurentian Mountains, Circuit Mont-Tremblant (formerly known as St. Jovite) has twice hosted the Canadian Grand Prix of the Formula One World Championship.Additionally, the legendary Canadian-American Challenge Cup or Can-Am series produced a number of its most memorable contests on the demanding circuit following a 1966 debut there.

The strong field at Mont-Tremblant was right at home on the historic track. Notable entrants included the 1953 Maserati 250F of Peter Giddings; Peter Greenfield’s 1933 Alfa Romeo Monza 8C-2600; Keith Frieser’s 1973 Shadow DN1; Audi R8 LMP driven by Travis Engen; Danny Baker’s 1982 Williams FW08 F1; 1965 Alfa Romeo GTA of Mark Colbert; James Farley’s 1965 AC Cobra; Alain Raymond’s very popular 1964 Fiat Abarth 1000TC; and the 1973 Porsche RSR of Ivano Scattolin; among others.

Featured classes at the HMSA-powered races included: 1930-1963 Grand Prix Cars; 1940-1969 Small Bore Production Cars; 2-Litre / Can-Am / USRRC; Formula Libre; Classic Monoposto; VARAC Historic Challenge 1; Big Bore Production / IMSA GT / Trans AM; and FIA Makes / Group C / GTP Enduro / GT 2000.
