The Pacific Northwest Historics Vintage Car Race was staged July 29 to July 1, 2012 at the 2.25 mile, 10-turn Pacific Raceways in Kent, Washington. Sanctioned by Society of Vintage Racing Enthusiasts (SOVREN), the 24th annual Pacific Northwest Historics celebrated British Racing Cars and Johnny Rutherford served as Grand Marshal.

Notable entrants at the 2012 SOVREN Pacific Northwest Historics included Richard Duncan’s 1966 Bill Leonheart Special; 1967 Porsche 910 and 1959 Lotus 17 of Thor Johnson; Cameron Healy’s 1965 Porsche 904/6; the 1965 AC Cobra of John McKenna; Dennis and Don Racine in their Mini Coopers; Walt Cox in his 1966 Ford GT40 Mk II; 1964 Crusader of Ron Federspiel and Bill Babcock’s 1959 Peyote MK II.

    Nice to meet you at this event. Some outside issues kept me from getting my stuff into Jamie, but it looks like you’ve got it covered! Nice work. Will you come back up here next year? Maybe we’ll have some better “summer”….

    Please! 11 is eleven. II is two. I know the Bobsy is an SR two and the GT40 is a MK two. What about the Rawlson?

Senior Photographer Dennis Gray was team photographer for George Dyer Racing when they won the 12-Hours of Sebring in 1977, team photographer for Tom Spalding’s Can-Am team in 1978 and the RJR photographer for the IMSA series in 1979 and 1980. He was a frequent contributor to On Track magazine from 1968 to 1985.

Gray has created images for many automotive firms including BMW; Ford; Goodyear; Jaguar; Mercedes-Benz; Pirelli and Porsche; in addition to many print publications.
